Dr. P. Muhamed Ilyas served as the Principal of Sullamussalam Science College from 2013 to 2024. A faculty member since 1995, he brought visionary leadership that transformed the institution into a center of academic excellence and innovation. Under his leadership, the college achieved NAAC ‘A’ grade accreditation twice and earned a place in the NIRF rankings. He was instrumental in enhancing infrastructure, promoting research culture and establishing the state’s first TBI in an Arts and Science College. His decade-long tenure was marked by progress, sustainability and an enduring commitment to holistic education. He retired from the service in the year 2024, leaving behind a lasting legacy.

1995-2005

Dr. P.P. Abdul Haq, the founder and Principal of Sullamussalam Science College, took charge in 1995 after being deputed from PSMO College. Known for his dedication and principles, he laid a strong academic foundation for the college. During his tenure, he worked tirelessly to establish a robust educational environment, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. His leadership and vision were instrumental in shaping the college's early years. After a decade of remarkable service, he retired in 2005, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and academic rigor. 

2005-2013

Dr. K Mohammed Basheer became the Principal of Sullamussalam Science College in 2005, following the retirement of Dr. P.P. Abdul Haq. Dr. Basheer continued the tradition of dedication and commitment, further strengthening the college's academic and administrative framework. His tenure was marked by significant advancements and a focus on holistic education. In 2013, Dr. Basheer was appointed as the Registrar of Kerala University, Trivandrum, where he continued to contribute to the field of education with the same dedication and commitment. He became the Vice Chancellor of the Calicut University in 2015.
